NameSentry℠ Adopted by Over 60% of New Top Level Domains Launched

Famous Four Media Joins Growing Rank of Clients

Architelos, Inc., the premier provider of automated domain name abuse detection and mitigation services, has added Famous Four Media to its expanding roster of NameSentry clients. Famous Four Media will be implementing NameSentry for current and upcoming generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs) such as .trade .webcam, and .science. Other new gTLDs that have recently adopted NameSentry include, .build, .ceo, .lat, .luxury, and .ooo, to name a few. To date NameSentry has been adopted by more new gTLDs than any other commercially available solution in the market. Sixty percent (60%) of new gTLDs launched use NameSentry. “The results show that registry operators have embraced NameSentry to protect the long-term health and reputation of their investments, while cost effectively meeting compliance obligations,” said Alexa Raad, CEO of Architelos.

Architelos’ pioneering NameSentry service enables new gTLDs to not only comply with regulatory requirements for managing security threats such as domain name abuse, but also to build and maintain a safe and reputable namespace with low commitment and low overhead. NameSentry provides the most real-time and comprehensive view of domains registered for the purpose of distributing malware, spam and phishing. The service layers investigative tools to pinpoint abusive sites and target bad actors for automated suspension or shutdowns to reduce time to harm.

“We took the time to evaluate all options including competing services as well as a do-it-yourself option. In the end, we chose NameSentry, because it had the most established track record in the market, was customizable across a range of our TLDs, and automated many of the previously manual tasks, saving us time and resources,” said Geir Rasmussen, CEO of Famous Four Media. “The fact that NameSentry is offered by a trusted 3rd party, Architelos, was also a plus,” added Geir.
