Two new gTLD applicants have notified ICANN that they no longer wish to run the .Brand domains, they join an ever growing list of applicants who are ditching their names.

The Top-Level Concerned are:

The .ISELECT new gTLD is run by a compnay which describes itself as Australia’s go-to destination for comparing and saving across insurances, utilities and personal finance products made available from its range of providers. iSelect compares a wide range of Australia’s leading brands at no cost to the customer. iSelect was founded in 2000 as a private health insurance intermediary.

Dun & Bradstreet which applied for .DUNS is a privately-held company with a mission to help companies leverage data and insights to accelerate revenue, lower cost, manage risk and transform for greater competitiveness.

On 14 March 2019, The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation notified ICANN of its intent to terminate the .DUNS Registry Agreement entered into on 06 August 2015. ICANN’s preliminary determination to not transition the TLD to a successor Registry Operator is based on the following rationale: Termination Notice by The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation [PDF, 70 KB] (14 March 2019)

  • .DUNS qualifies as a .Brand TLD;
  • Transitioning the TLD is not necessary to protect the public interest.
On .ISELECT
